Feast of Trumpets & Day of Atonement – this is a solemn day which focuses our attention to the reality of sin and need for atonement. Trumpet blasts begin this day (feast of trumpets) and a week after the day of atonement ends this with a special sacrifice for all of Israel and the priest enters the inner sanctuary.
