We are a young church located in the heart of Montréal. We have come together from all corners of the world and all walks of life, but we are unified as one church family by God’s love for us.
We all share in the purpose of glorifying God by making disciples of all nations, worshipping God as a church, and loving our community through Christ.

The vision of Voyage Church has been to spread the gospel message of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus. In spite of the religious history of Montreal, this is a rarely heard and much needed message throughout the city of Montreal and in our neighbourhood of Cote-des-Neiges.
While we faithfully seek to proclaim our need of forgiveness and God’s gracious remedy in all we do, we have discerned a calling from God to focus on three specific areas: to directly disciple believers so that everyone can realize the transformation God desires of us, to actively reach out and be present in our community to showcase the love of God through our actions, and finally to be a church that the power of God is experienced through the gift of prayer.

Prayer
Prayer is a magnificent privilege. It is astounding that we can come before the All-Mighty Creator of All Existence and speak with Him! God has brought us into His family and into an unending relationship. It is through prayer that we are able to exercise this relationship and experience Him.
Prayer is also vital to a healthy Christian life. It helps us as believers in our spiritual battles against evil and sin, as we align our desires and wills to God’s. God also works through prayers, as when we make requests on behalf of others, thus He incorporates us into His work of redeeming creation. Again, what a privilege!
Sadly, prayer can be difficult for many believers and even churches as a whole. Since it is such a powerful gift and an essential part of Christian life we want to be a solidly prayerful church, modelling and encouraging one another through our services and groups how to incorporate prayer into our daily lives.
Discipleship
Following in Jesus’ footsteps, it is clear that spreading the Good News is to be done through making disciples. People need to be taught about the Gospel, not merely told. That means walking alongside someone over time, and it means being involved.
For us at Voyage Church our measure of success as a church is how much people’s lives are transformed by the Gospel. How much people change to become more like Christ. The only way we can do this is by, as much as possible, making sure that every individual gets the attention and care that they need. Too often people fall through the cracks and get forgotten. Too often a person’s concerns or questions go unanswered and they begin stumbling in their faith. Too often people are left unchallenged in their lives and they stop growing spiritually. God has purchased each one of us individually from death and we need to honour that with proper shepherding and care.
Community
The story of the Bible is about God reaching out to people who do not know Him. Now, His church is to be oriented in the same way: facing outwards, reaching out to people who do not know God. With the love God has for the whole world we love our city, and our neighbourhood. We are a church that seeks the good of our community and desire to help in any way we can from neighbourhood stewardship, educational and recreational activities, and relief and justice issues. God calls us to be His hands and feet in the world.
This also means that we warmly invite everyone into a church community that is open, loving, and respectful. Where we can walk through life together, share in each other’s’ joys and sorrows, and carry one another’s burdens. A family of broken people and sinners who have been saved by grace through Jesus Christ, and now have been thrust into a new life learning to follow Jesus’ example.
