Our fears can point us to the things that our hearts care most.

Fears can be idols in our lives.

In 1 Samuel 13, we see that Saul loved his role and kingship more than he loved God.

God does not want us to spend time chasing after lesser glories.

Challenge: A few questions to reflect on

What are you putting before God in your life as an idol?

Ask yourself, “Have I ever truly put God first?”
