Habakkuk – Faith When Life Doesn’t Make Sense
In Habakkuk we find faith wrestling with painful and confusing circumstances. The prophet sees injustice and hopelessness all around, and still chooses to trust in God’s plan when it doesn’t make sense to him. Life is full of pain and confusion, and in the midst of those times Habakkuk’s example can guide us to strengthen and deepen our faith in God.

Jesus: The Gate to Life
Have you been working towards having a good life? an abundant life, or an exciting life? We all want to feel like we’re living life to its fullest, but no matter how hard we strive, we eventually find ourselves unfulfilled. Well, the Apostle John shows us in his gospel, through Jesus’ teachings and miracles, that by following Jesus and having faith in His death as the Son God for our sin, that we can have lives of fullness and abundance. The Deeper Truths of Jesus: The Gospel According to John (1-4:42)
Description: There is much more to Jesus than a great teacher, or exceptional leader. While He amassed a movement in His life on earth, it is the deeper, unseen reality of who Jesus is that is so powerfully needed in the world today. The apostle John states that he wrote his gospel so that the reader “may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, and have life in His name.”

The Prophet Micah
When life is good we’re often most susceptible to living by our own wisdom and skill rather than God’s design. Micah is just the prophet for those good times that take us perilously far from God, as he calls out the idolatry and injustice that so quickly befalls our hearts.

Prone to Wander
The Story of Jonah

The story of Jonah is the kind of story that makes us uncomfortable. A prophet of God, Jonah does almost everything possible to prove he’s the last person for the job. Obstinate, angry, selfish, and entitled, Jonah appears very un-prophet like. And yet, God still decides to use him powerfully.

In Scripture, God consistently calls His people to be a people of remembrance, ensuring that they never forget who He is, who they are, and what they are supposed to do. We need this exhortation no less, so that no matter our present circumstances we won’t forget our God and our mission.
