False contrition brings false repentance.

While Saul was stuck in self pity, David sought forgiveness from God, and was free to be truly contrite and available for those whom he has hurt.

Challenge: A few questions to reflect on

If you see yourself in Saul’s behaviour  recognize and embrace the identity God gives you. if you find yourself on David’s side, see the identity  struggle that the other person is going through.
